GROUND RULES / INFO  at Animal Watchers’ Amazing Canines facility:

PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY ON OUR DRIVEWAY and be on the lookout for people or dogs.

ALL DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH ON OUR PROPERTY.  Our property around the pool is not completely fenced in.

The driveway gate is automatic/electric.     The code is written on the punch key box.  It is 1, 2, 3, 4.  You will have 45 seconds to get through the gate before it automatically closes behind you.   If you are driving an RV or something large, the gate will sense that a vehicle is there and will not close on you.    When exiting the property the gate will open towards you automatically, you do not need a code.  However if it does not open there is a remote control in the red box on your left that will open it.

Parking.  DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF THE DOG KENNEL BUILDING.  Please park in a logical manner.  If there is a car already parked, park next to it, do not start a new row or leave half a car space between you and the next car.   We will have a designated load/unload area by the entrance to the pool area.  Most parking will be about 100 ft away from the entrance to the pool area.

The ground is dirt, so you might want to bring a mat with you to keep your dog clean.

The grounds around the pool (12 acres) are not completely fenced in.  The pool itself is completely fenced.  The agility field is also completely fenced in.  Please secure any gate that you use.

Day Before Event: 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Practice in pool is $10 per dog.

Day of Event:   7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Pool practice is from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m.

QUAIL RIDGE RV RESORT 520-456-9301, 2207 N Yucca Dr, Huachuca City, AZ 85616.
Unfortunately, this RV Park does not allow Pitt Bulls.
This RV facility is less than a half-mile from our facility.  You could possibly walk to our facility after you have set up.  They have  great low prices of around $15 per night which includes electric, water and sewage.  Please tell them you are attending the dog event at Animal Watchers.

R.V. City

Vet on Call:   (TBA)

Usually New Frontier Animal Medical Center, 2045 Paseo San Luis, Sierra Vista, AZ  85635 (520) 459-0433.  Dial 1 for Emergency, answering service will get you in contact with the doctor on call.  From Amazing Canines, turn right onto Hwy 82, then right at the first traffic light onto Hwy 90.  Stay on 90, you will go past a gate to Ft. Huachuca on your right.  Do not turn left onto the Hwy 90 By-Pass, keep going straight.  When you past the second entrance to Ft. Huachuca, Hwy 90 becomes Buffalo Soldier Road. Continue to Avenida Cochise (on your left by a Gas City, and a motorcycle shop).  Turn left onto Avenida Cochise.  Continue until you pass Home Depot on your right, the next major street is Hwy 92, cross over 92, the second street on your right is Paseo San Luis, turn right onto it.  New Frontier will be about the second block, on the left, across from ReMax.

Directions to Animal Watchers from the Intersection of Hwy 82 and 90 (traffic light).

From the traffic light at 90 and 82, turn towards Nogales/Sonoita, DO NOT HEAD TOWARDS TOMBSTONE.  From Sierra Vista this would be a left turn onto 82, from I-10 it would be a right turn onto 82.  Go approximately 1/2 mile, we will be on the left.  We are close to Mile Marker 51.  You can see the roof of our training arena from the time you turn onto 82.  The sign will say Animal Watchers.  The numbers 440 are on a white mail box.  There is also a wooden dog painted bright yellow next to our mail box.

.SHADE:  You should bring a chair, and a dog crate with you.  You may crate under our covered agility ring.  It is much cooler there than under a canopy, but you can’t see the pool from there.  It is about 300 ft from the pool (1-2 minute walk).  We will have communication between the pool and crating area so you will know when each splash begins.   If you want to set up close to the pool you will need a canopy.

Facility Opens:  8:00 a.m.

First Dog on line at 9:00 a.m. (We are normally finished by noon)

You may use your run to do or practice whatever you wish.  You may run the course, parts of it, practice start line stays, practice contacts, etc.  You may use treats, toys and training devices.

We provide a kid’s plastic wading pool and hose for the dogs (during summer months).

For dogs that know how to swim, you may use our dock-diving pool for the discounted rate of $8 per dog.

Pre-registering will help our run-thru run timely and efficiently for everyone.
