We appreciate your coming to our event.  If there is anything we can do to make your experience better, please let us know.  Contact Person is Mary Watcher, 520-456-9020,

Please be sure to read our COVID-19 Plan at the end of this section.  By attending this event you are agreeing to abide by the rules set forth in Amazing Canines/Animal Watchers COVID-19 Plan.   Please remember to bring your signed NADD waiver and signed NADD COVID-19 waiver (available on the NADD website).

Because of COVID-19 the pool will only be open for splashes.  We also can not have a food vendor since we have no control over them to assure they are following COVID-19 guidelines.   We do not have fast food restaurants close by.  There is a Chevron station within a half-mile of us, and in Huachuca City (10 minute drive south of us) are a Circle K, and 3 restaurants.  Sierra Vista (15-20 minute drive) has plenty of fast food, chain restaurants, etc.

All start times are estimates.   We normally tend to start prior to the listed time.  However, you will always get your splash if you are ready at the scheduled time.

To make the diving order easier we are keeping the same diving order both days.  We will use your dog’s name in reverse alphabetical order.

NADD Facility Event COVID-19 Plan September 4-7, 2020

I.          Overview:

As of August 2, 2020, a face mask must be worn in the city of Sierra Vista. We are in a rural area.  Events may be held as long as there is enough room to accommodate the 6-foot distance requirement.   We will have 6-foot  markers appropriately spaced on the ground for waiting in line, etc.

We made the decision not to require masks or gloves, as we will be strictly enforcing a 6-foot distance regulation; some of our competitors have 2 or more dogs entered; and some are only staying for a splash or two.   This significantly lowers the actual number of people attending.

Please help us by staying 6-feet away from everyone, even friends unless you drove here with them.

Anyone who does not maintain a 6-ft distance will be asked to leave immediately and will forfeit their splashes/money.

II.         Social Distancing:

Everyone must check in before entering the pool area.  No Exceptions.

Parking:  We will not be able to have a “loading/unloading” area for this event.  There are plenty of parking spaces.

Check-In.  There will be a table(s) right outside of the entrance gate. There will be 6-ft ground markers leading up to the check in-desk.  A container will be on a table for:  1) NADD COVID-19 Waiver and 2) NADD Event Waiver.  Please remember these two Waivers must be completed, signed and dated prior to checking in.  They can be found on the NADD website and you may email them to me prior to the event:

You may check in and set-up Friday, Sept. 4, 2020, between 3 and 5:30 p.m.

Payment.  Please have exact amount if paying by cash.  All checks need to be made payable to “Animal Watchers”.  We will accept VISA or MASTERCARD, but for this event it would be helpful to us (less contact with a person) if you can pay by cash or check.

Diving Order.  You will receive a “diving order of dogs”  the night before the event, or sooner.  This will help alleviate a gathering of people by the pool and at the secretary’s area looking to see when it’s their turn.

Entering and Exiting the Grounds around the Pool:  There will be one gate to enter the pool vicinity and another to exit. They will be clearly marked and will remain open.

Pool / Dock:  You will be entering the dock on the left staircase, again it is clearly marked Entrance.  You will be leaving the pool by the right side staircase.  There will be a divider between the 2 staircases.

Scores:  To avoid a gathering of people, we encourage you  to check your scores on the NADD website.  They are normally posted a few minutes after the secretary enters them.

Ribbons:  Ribbons will not be given out after each splash.  The ribbons are not self-serve.  One of our staff members (taking all the necessary safety precautions) will place all of your blue Qualifying ribbons in a plastic bag. You will have to put your scores in. You may pick up your ribbons from the Event Secretary any time between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Again, please only approach the table by the designated 6-ft markers.

Leaving the Event Grounds: When your splashes are finished for the day, please exit the grounds as soon as you can.  The less people we have on the grounds the easier it is to maintain 6-feet from each other.

III.        Sanitation:

Gates:   All gates will remain open throughout the event including gates on the dock.  Please remember the 12 acres where the pool is located is not fenced in.

Bathrooms.  For this event our inside bathroom will not be available for use.  We will have 3 Port-a-Potties close by, plus a handicapped port-a-potty by the agility field.  These port-a-potties will each have a bottle of Lysol and paper towels so you can wipe the seat both before use and after use.  Hand sanitizers will be available right in front of the port-a-potties on a chair.

High-Traffic Areas:  If you notice any areas that you feel should be sprayed because of high-traffic please let us know.
